Project Overview: The Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (BUIDCo) is embarking on a transformative project to address the stormwater drainage challenges and wastewater management needs of Madhubani Town in Bihar. With a total project cost of ₹115.00 Crores, this initiative involves the design, construction, and operation & maintenance (O&M) of a comprehensive stormwater drainage system and a state-of-the-art 15 Million Litres per Day (MLD) Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) for the town.
Project Components:
- Storm Water Drainage System Design and Construction:
- Designing and building an efficient stormwater drainage network to mitigate the risk of flooding and waterlogging during heavy rainfall events.
- Installation of stormwater drains, culverts, and other necessary infrastructure to ensure proper collection and discharge of rainwater.
- 15 MLD Sewerage Treatment Plant:
- Construction of a Sewerage Treatment Plant with a capacity of 15 MLD to treat wastewater collected from Madhubani Town.
- Implementation of advanced treatment processes to ensure the treated effluent meets environmental standards before discharge.
- Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Services:
- Provision of O&M services for the entire stormwater drainage system and the Sewerage Treatment Plant for a period of 10 years.
- Regular inspection, cleaning, and maintenance activities to ensure the optimal functioning and longevity of the infrastructure.
